Robbery Suspect Enters Guilty Plea

Robbery suspect Dominic Cloud (19) entered a guilty plea on Thursday, October 10, 2016 in Bullitt County Circuit Court to one count of Robbery 2nd Degree. After the court accepted Cloud’s guilty plea, he was sentenced to 5 years of incarceration. Cloud was arrested for robbing the 5-Star Market located at 155 Hillview Blvd. during the early morning hours of June 17, 2015.

Detectives from the Hillview Police Department and Louisville Metro Police Department’s Robbery Unit worked diligently together after both agencies experienced similar robberies within their jurisdictions. The suspect was given the name “Booney Hat Robber” by Detectives due to him wearing a booney hat during each of his robberies.

Cloud was developed as a suspect after Patrol Officers with Louisville Metro Police Department’s 7th Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched the description from one used in previous robberies. The investigation revealed Cloud was connected to 14 other robberies within Jefferson County Kentucky spanning from June 16, 2015 until his captured on July 21, 2015.

Cloud and his accomplice, William Dennison, also entered guilty pleas on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Jefferson County Circuit Court to 9 counts of Robbery 1st Degree and 5 counts of Robbery 2nd Degree.

Cloud & Dennison are both scheduled to appear in Jefferson County Circuit Court on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 for sentencing.
